This tuna salad recipe is a perfectly quick, healthy, and low-carb lunch that tastes like your favorite upscale deli made it just for you.
Ingredients:
1 can of tuna fish in water
1 tablespoon of organic or olive oil mayonnaise (or vegenaise)
1 teaspoon of sweet pickle relish
About 1 tablespoon of pickled red onions, coarsely chopped
2 small fresh basil leaves chopped, or a pinch of dried basil
Pinch of paprika
Black pepper to taste
Savory, Sea Salt, or your favorite Flackers crackers
Instructions:
- Combine the tuna, olive oil mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, pickled red onions, basil, and paprika in a bowl.
- Stir and taste.
- Season with black pepper as needed. Since tuna is already naturally salty, extra salt is optional but not necessary.
- Spread on top of Savory Flackers or your favorite Flackers cracker.
